Above is the Engagement Slideshow that I created for the Leina & Ajay from their engagement photos.

THE ENGAGEMENT RING AND HOW THEY MET

Ajay & Leina met in 2012 when they were two young-eyed students living in Lister Hall at the University of Alberta. At that time, Ajay was a residence assistant and Leina ran into him. From the first sight, she was smitten and actually told me about him in one of our classes since we used to be students together. Ajay soon found out about this doe-eyed beautiful girl who kept flirting glances at him whenever he was in the hallways and he knew he had to ask her out. Ajay slipped a poem under Leina’s door on Valentine’s day and as they say, the rest is history!

Ajay proposed to Leina in a unique way. He wrote a book about their story titled “A little Bit of Everything” and had it published. Then one evening, they went out to the Botanical Gardens and later to Bon Accord to watch meteor showers. There, he got down on one knee and recited a poem he had written for Leina and presented her with the book he had written about their story. She cried and said yes. Even I am crying writing this…

This adorable goofy couple is getting married this summer and I can not be more excited to photograph their wedding.

The Engagement Session at Hawrelak Park, Edmonton

We took Ajay & Leina’s Engagement photos at Hawerlak Park in Edmonton. The couple chose this location due to its beautiful greenery and fantastic features including a natural water fountain, a small bridge, and fantastic flora. We walked around for almost 2 hours doing silly things and creating hilarious memories. Their engagement photos focus on telling their story as they include the book Ajay proposed with as well as a picnic that the couple has been meaning to go to for years. If you notice the cover of the book, you will notice that some of the photos are the same as the cover…

I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph Ajay & Leina engagement photos and I am really looking forward to joining them on their wedding day.

Karl Getting Ready for his Big Day

What says the perfect start better than beers and the boys? Karl began his wedding day with his best men by his side. We got some really nice shots of him getting ready to look his best. The boys took swag to the next level with matching shades and kept it classy with matching boutonnières. We also loved his goofy socks! They were especially cute because the two met in med school!

Courtney Getting Ready

Courtney began her special day with her best gals and some bubbly! Her dress was so beautiful we had to photograph it in its own glory. The girls spent some emotional moments together before they were ready for the day. We got some beautiful pictures of the girls with some serious sunshine!
Courtney also surprised her dad with a personalised tie which became our favourite moment of the day.

THEIR CEREMONY AT THE GREYSTONE GARDENS BED AND BREAKFAST, SPRUCE GROVE

What does the perfect wedding look like?
Lots of sun, laughter and everybody enjoying themselves. That is how Courtney and Karl spent their wedding day. They chose a beautiful country retreat with lush gardens and a gorgeous verandas. We got some dreamy photos of the bride walking down the aisle and as the two said “I do” we could swear it was a movie. The rustic decor outdoors added to the drama for those black-and-white shots and it was perfect!

FAMILY PHOTOS

The best part about wedding photography is getting to save moments from people’s special days. These moments are made special by the people we spend them with. This is why we really enjoy family formals. Due credit goes to the venue which gave us the perfect backdrop for photos and swings that made everything so much more interesting! Courtney raised her bouquet to her special day and all the cute little bridesmaids made it all better.

CREATIVE FORMALS AT GREYSTONE GARDENS BED AND BREAKFAST, SPRUCE GROVE

Their pictures together will have you agree that it’s a love for movie screens! Our favourite pictures is the playful one with a stunning backdrop of the gardens.
Who said swings are for kids? Courtney looked stunning sitting on one with Karl beside her. We also got some really cute ones on a bridge at the venue and more in the gardens. Fall weddings are truly gorgeous!
The wedding part pulled all stops and took some really creative poses for us! Our favourite is the one with Courtney’s maid of honor raising her bouquet while everyone else puts up their coolest poses.

THE RECEPTION AT GREYSTONE GARDENS BED AND BREAKFAST, SPRUCE GROVE

The Reception took place at the same venue. The couple started the night off with a romantic first dance and then everybody joined in. We got some really cool shots of the two with the perfect lighting and the perfect chemistry. The guests enjoyed a dinner together and a cake made with so much love by a coworker of the couple. There were some heartfelt toasts by friends and family and then the real party started. Courtney and Karl hired a custom band to take the party through the roof! The guests really knew some moves and the evening basically took off from there.

My friends got married. That was surreal! I have known Leina and Ajay from the time I was in University and that was yearsss ago! I have seen their love blossom and grow and I am honored and humbled that they choose me to document their wedding day. Congratulations you two adorable love birds!!!

Their wedding was on top of the North Saskatchewan River in a vintage street car. Their wedding day was stormy and passionate just like their fierce love for each other. Here are some same day edits of Leina & Ajay’s wedding day.

NATHAN GETTING READY IN STYLE

The wedding truly begins with preparations and the magic is in the details. Our day began at The Best Western Plus Fort Saskatchewan Inn & Suites. With cool axes with his name, the coordinating boutonnière and cufflinks, and the perfect shoes to compliment his outfit, the groom didn’t take any chances for his big day. Nathan’s dad also gave us #dadgoals with their heartfelt picture together. The groomsmen pulled all stops to showcase their support too! With matching axes and coordinated outfits, they made a great party!

MACKENZIE GETTING READY TO IMPRESS

The preparations showed throughout the day, with a dashing ring bearer who meant business and props for making a special announcement.
Mackenzie got ready at a rustic house near the wedding venue. We got some pictures of the bride and her mom sharing some cute moments. She rocked her tattoos and really let her personality shine through. What is more badass than being a work of art on your big day?

THEIR CEREMONY IN A UNIQUE LOCATION

The ceremony took place in an unusual off-path location near a highway. The details really added to the day. From their furry friend Misha to the little surprise they had for the wedding guests. The rings were escorted by an efficient young man who took his job very seriously. Nathan and Mackenzie said their vows in standing at a rustic setting with a really cool compass, some buckets full of flowers and eyes full of love!
We love food. Apparently these two do too! Instead of having a cake, they had a donut tower by The Italian Bakery. You heard it right. Not only were they pretty as a bunch but also delicious!

FAMILY PHOTOS

We were able to capture the warmth and love that the whole family had for these two and we’re so glad we did! We recognise that family is an important part of their happiness so it’s only appropriate to save those memories right at the location of the ceremony! We are sure they will always look back on these with fondness.

CREATIVE FORMALS TO CHERISH

The day was perfect for taking some beautifully lit photos. One of our favourite shots is the one with Mackenzie on a bench and Nathan pecking her cheek. It truly reminds one of a storybook romance.
Have you ever wondered what a ‘perfect ending’ looks like?
It looks like all those gooey eyes that give us serious wedding fever, but also some truly special moments where it’s just the two of them. The bridal party helped make the pictures so much cuter! We are just glad to have been there to capture it all!

THE RECEPTION

Some ceremonies truly turn out to perfectly. This was one of them. But the reception topped the list for the most fun event! Nathan and Mackenzie used cute props to announce that they are expecting a baby! Not surprisingly, the audience got really emotional. All that happiness in one room was truly spectacular to witness. So we got to do some pre-baby photos which the couple showed in a slideshow at the wedding! The audience oohed and aahed at some really heartfelt toasts and many tears and laughs were shared.
Nathan and Mackenzie started the part with a first dance and then everyone truly took it off! The DJ kept the party rocking and the groomsmen wowed with some fantastic moves. The bride and groom also came for one last showdown too!
We were also able to capture the classic moments to catch the flying bouquet as Mackenzie tossed it.

CREATIVE FORMALS AT THE TAVERN & LOUISE MCKINNEY RIVERFRONT PARK

Our day began at the Tavern, a cool rustic location the couple chose. Daniel stood waiting for bride with his back turned. Veronica walked up to him and put her hand on his shoulder. Called the first look, this little tradition was so adorable.
We also took some great shots at another beautiful location, the Louise Mckinney Riverfront Park. Even by the River Valley, the couple’s love brought out all the warmth in the pictures!

THEIR CEREMONY AT THE THE COUNTRY LODGE

For a couple this cool, what is more, suitable than a cabin with gorgeous grounds?
The ceremony took place in The Country Lodge. Charming and quaint, it was the perfect little venue for a cute wedding. Veronica and Daniel did things unconventionally. Daniel stood waiting for bride at the altar with his back turned. Veronica walked up to him and put her hand on his shoulder. Called the first look, this little tradition was so adorable. The whole ceremony was full of these sweet moments between the two and we couldn’t get enough of it!

 

THE RECEPTION AT THE COUNTRY LODGE

After the ceremony, we were able to get some pictures of the adorable couple and their family. The first dance was a showstopper! The guest swooned and all lights were on the couple. We were able to get some really fun shots of people dancing, the meaningful looks between the couple and all the love in the room!

THE ENGAGEMENT RING AND HOW THEY MET

True love stories never have endings as they say, but they definitely have many beginnings. Engagements for example are always the beginning of a new chapter of hopeful many in love stories. In the case of the lovely couple Paola and Olsi, this new chapter of eternal commitment was heralded with a promise in the form of a ring. Their engagement ring is a classical and elegant round cut diamond set in a multi-stone halo. And we have had the privilege to commemorate their new chapter, and help them tell this part of their story, the way they want it o be told. Our photographs of Paola and Olsi happy and in love are the coulorful words with which we write to welcome them to their soon wedded bliss.

The Engagement Session in Edmonton’s Government House

The Engagement photo session took place at Edmonton’s Government House. This location is both historic and gorgeous in the way it combines the beauty of architecture with the beauty of nature. The Government House has a fabulous well cared for garden, and we have been successful in pairing the popping greenery with a golden sunset that adorned the love of our young couple. We are happy to have had the chance to contribute in immortalizing this moment of joy for Paola and Olsi and we wish them tons more. Their engagement photos reflect their delicate deep love, and we have certainly captured more of these warm fuzzy feelings from many angles.

THE ENGAGEMENT RING AND HOW THEY MET

Hufsah and Harris met through mutual friends. They`ve been hearing of each other for a while, and finally met about a year ago. Their engagement was a cultural traditional Pakistani one, where both families came together on April 14th, 2018 in Calgary to give their blessings and support to the betrothed couple. During this celebration, Harris offered Hufsah a gorgeous princess cut diamond set in a stunning double halo ring
Hufsah is Calgarian and Harris is Edmontonian; nonetheless, he has had an interesting life between many places such as Dubai and Pakistan. The happy couple are both bankers who share a love for good food, nature, hiking and exploring trails.

The Engagement Session at the University of Alberta’s old Arts building

The engagement photo session took place at the Old Arts building at the University of Alberta, a location that is not strange to couples wishing to celebrate and commemorate their love. The romance was in the air, a mix of architectural and natural wonders. We took beautiful pictures of the happy bride and groom to be while surrounded by the carefully cared for foliage and pond of the university, and its resident playful squirrels. And the enjoyable session was complemented by a warm rain

The Reception slideshow above is included in everyone one of our wedding collections and is very well loved by both family and friends. It is presented in a classic black and white video format that we show during the reception on a projector and a screen we bring along with us. We also upload the same slideshow the very next day to our blog for everyone to enjoy while we edit and prepare the wedding day images.

The Perfect Summer Wedding

Today was Trina & Joshua’s wedding and above you will see their beautiful same day slideshow that we create from the photos we captured of them and presented to them at their reception.

Trina & Joushua photos will take approximately 12 to 16 weeks to edit and once they have booked their viewing session and seen their photos they will be released to the following gallery for a limited time. Sign up today and we will notify you the moment the photos have been released. From the online gallery you will be able to view and star your favourite images, as well as order prints from the wedding.

The Bouffard’s Same Day Slideshow

The Reception slideshow above is included in everyone one of our wedding collections and is very well loved by both family and friends. It is composed of a selection of photos from the time the bride and groom are getting ready to the ceremony, family formals and creative formals. It is presented in a classic black and white video format that we show during the reception on a projector and a screen we bring along with us. We also upload the same slideshow the very next day to our blog for everyone to enjoy while we edit and prepare the wedding day images.

Most of our same day edits are always done in black and white as we save the color ones for the completion of their wedding photos.
