THE ENGAGEMENT RING AND HOW THEY MET
Ajay & Leina met in 2012 when they were two young-eyed students living in Lister Hall at the University of Alberta. At that time, Ajay was a residence assistant and Leina ran into him. From the first sight, she was smitten and actually told me about him in one of our classes since we used to be students together. Ajay soon found out about this doe-eyed beautiful girl who kept flirting glances at him whenever he was in the hallways and he knew he had to ask her out. Ajay slipped a poem under Leina’s door on Valentine’s day and as they say, the rest is history!
Ajay proposed to Leina in a unique way. He wrote a book about their story titled “A little Bit of Everything” and had it published. Then one evening, they went out to the Botanical Gardens and later to Bon Accord to watch meteor showers. There, he got down on one knee and recited a poem he had written for Leina and presented her with the book he had written about their story. She cried and said yes. Even I am crying writing this…
This adorable goofy couple is getting married this summer and I can not be more excited to photograph their wedding.
The Engagement Session at Hawrelak Park, Edmonton
We took Ajay & Leina’s Engagement photos at Hawerlak Park in Edmonton. The couple chose this location due to its beautiful greenery and fantastic features including a natural water fountain, a small bridge, and fantastic flora. We walked around for almost 2 hours doing silly things and creating hilarious memories. Their engagement photos focus on telling their story as they include the book Ajay proposed with as well as a picnic that the couple has been meaning to go to for years. I am so fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph Ajay & Leina engagement photos and I am really looking forward to joining them on their wedding day.
