THEIR CEREMONY AT THE ST. JOSAPHAT’S UKRANIAN CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL

Kyle & Rachael’s wedding was a beautiful Catholic ceremony performed by Father Peter Babej. It was a solemn affair that included several readings chosen by the couple and prayers said to bless the couple’s wedding. It was held at magnificent St. Josaphat’s Ukranian Catholic Cathedral. The location with its rich history and equally astounding architecture just added to the grace of the Catholic ceremony.

A Little Bit about the Church:
It is a beautiful architectural marvel of the Byzantine Rite. It is also the seat of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton since 1948. It was designed by Reverend Philip Ruh in 1938 and has been an iconic piece of the Edmonton Heritage since.

FAMILY PHOTOS AT THE ST. JOSAPHAT’S UKRANIAN CATHOLIC CATHEDRAL

Following the ceremony and prayers, I took photos of the Dykstra & Wirachowsky family. The photos included a beautiful couple surrounded by their friends and family on the steps of the Cathedral. I also took some adorable photos of Rachael as she shared some emotional moments with her niece (the flower girl).

CREATIVE FORMALS AT HENRIETTA MUIR EDWARDS PARK

We traveled to the nearby Henrietta Muir Edwards park for the couple’s formals. They were super brave as it was a cold Autumn afternoon. I took photos of the couple as we overlooked the Edmonton Skyline from the nearby bridge. After their formals, the couple joined their family for their reception and we went to work some magic on their photos.
