Edmonton Wedding Videographer // Featured Vendor – A Love Story
We often work with other vendors and we recommend them based on the quality of their services. This help us provide an entire stress-free experience to our clients. This includes recommending vendors that the clients may be in need of. We often do short interviews with those vendors to ensure our clients know who they might be dealing with.
Raj Patel – The lead cinematographer of A Love Story was one of the vendors we wanted to feature on our blog due to his amazing work and equally welcoming personality. Don’t believe me? Here is one of their magical creation:
Here is the interview:
How did you get started?
When I was about 21, 3 van loads of my friends drove down to Las Vegas for a vacation. I had just got a Sony DC-9 camcorder and filmed throughout the trip. A few months later I edited together a DVD and we all got together to watch it. It was an amazing feeling to have my work appreciated and applauded… Chasing that feeling is what took me to capturing weddings.
Tell me about your favorite wedding last season.
I have two favorites, one was the elopement that I filmed in Iceland. I had never filmed an elopement before and it was really inspiring to watch the intimateness and love shared with such a breath-taking backdrop.
The other wedding was Michelle and Gurpreet’s wedding in September, I loved that they trusted me to help plan their day. We did a first look outside of the temple and they read vows to each other, something that I had never done with an East Indian wedding!
How far out should a bride pay a deposit to secure your services for her wedding day?
Most of our couples book between 10 – 14 months before their big day.
What is included when a couple books your services for their wedding?
Our Signature Wedding Film includes coverage of the bride and groom getting ready, the wedding ceremony, photo session, reception and dance.
The couple will get a 15 – 20 minute Feature Film highlighting the most important moments of their special day and Documentary Edits of the ceremony, reception and dance. The Documentary Edits vary in length and give a comprehensive look at each event. We also produce a Highlight Film which is 3 – 5 minutes which is great for sharing online with family and friends. The final films are delivered in HD.
How do you help couples customize their wedding?
We really spend the time to get to know our couples and find out the unique aspects of their relationships and wedding day which allows us the ability to highlight these in their film.
What is one interesting fact about your services?
We have a commercial storytelling brand called Orange Fountain Filmmakers which we created about 6 years ago. It has been invigorating taking everything that we have learned from telling emotional stories of our couples and incorporating that into telling stories of businesses, schools and organizations.
What do you have planned for the future?
We plan to get better at storytelling and consciously incorporating the stories of our couples into their wedding films.
What makes your services unique?
We focus on the story of the couple, we are not trying to create a beautiful wedding film, we are trying to tell the story of two beautiful people getting married.
How long has this business been a part of the community?
We filmed our first wedding in 2003.
Who would be the best person to contact if a couple wants to book your services?
