Summer Wedding for an amazing couple!

Shamalla & Mark Getting Ready

We consider ourselves storytellers and as such we like photographing every element of the day. This starts off with us photographing the bride and groom as they get ready during the early part of the day. This makes for an amazing album that feels like a storybook when the couple looks back at it 10 years down the road.

The Guys Getting Ready

We first photographed Mark & his groomsman at their beautiful house in Edmonton. All of them extremely handsome in their tailored suits and pink ties! Mark himself was wearing a black bow tie which is a classic tradition.

The Girls Getting Ready

After we photographed Mark, we traveled to Shamalla’s place where she was getting ready. She wore a trendy rose colored gown that looked absolutely stunning on her. Her bridesmaids and her flower girl helped her get ready.

Their Ceremony at Evangelical Lutheran Church

We went to the Evangelical Luther Church in Edmonton to photograph the couple’s beautiful ceremony. It was a tradition Christian ceremony where the bride and groom exchanged vows and committed their lives together. The church had a very vintage rustic look that looks great in the photos!

The Family Photos at Evangelical Lutheran Church

Following the ceremony, we photographed the couple and their family in the foyer of the church. The foyer was very well lit with natural light that allowed us to capture some amazing portraits of the couple and family members.

The Creative Formals at Alberta Legislature Building

Every wedding day includes bridal portraits or formals. This is the part where we take the couple and the bridal party to a beautiful location and photograph them. These photos are timeless and romantic. They are usually a huge part of the wedding story.

The Dean’s Reception at Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre

The Dinner provided by the talented culinary staff at Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre

Decoration by Lulu

The reception of the wedding was held at the Radisson Hotel & Convention Centre, Edmonton. The staff there had prepared an amazing meal that looked and tasted equally great. The Chef, Fabian, had done an excellent job of creating some of the tastiest food that we have ever tried. It was a buffet style meal that was complemented with equally delicious dessert.

Cutting the beautiful cake

The couple opted for a multi-cake arrangement rather than going with a single large cake. The cake itself looked delicious with white fondant and silver studs on the outside. The wedding at the Radisson Hotel & Convention centre was only topped by the cake at the wedding itself!

First Dance!

The couple danced together for their first dance. They had a choreographed dance which looked really amazing! They were then joined by the rest of their family and loved ones on the dance floor. The DJ had some great tunes going including some ethnic ones that got everyone going. At one point, our Second Shooter Jeremy was himself on the dance floor!

The Dean Wedding Day Slideshow

Above is the beautiful Wedding Slideshow that came with Shamalla & Mark’s wedding package. It was created from a selection of their best photos.

It was amazing to work with Mark & Shamalla on their wedding day and we can’t be more excited to share their final images with them in the coming weeks! You can check out the rest of our work at our blog!

A castle, winter, and the perfect dress; this is what makes a fairytale wedding. Of course, an amazingly beautiful couple that glows with love is a cherry on top! I had the chance to photograph Zac & Mary’s winter wedding last winter at the Hotel Fairmont Macdonald.

Zac & Mary Getting Ready

The Guys Getting Ready at Hotel Fairmont Macdonald

Early during the day, we joined the couple at the Fairmont Hotel where they were staying for the duration of the wedding. Zac was in a hotel room with his best man Daryl who was helping him get ready. We took some photos of the guys goofing around and having fun to calm the nerves. We took some individual portraits, some details shots of the cufflinks and photos of Zac & his best man posing.

The Girls Getting Ready at Hotel Fairmont Macdonald

After photographing the guys, we went to the bride’s room. Mary was getting ready with her mother, her bridesmaids, and her friends. Given the gorgeous location of the hotel room, we were able to get some amazing afternoon light. The bride also opened a gift from the groom which a gorgeous Swarovski bracelet. In a light-hearted moment, the mother of the bride gave her a kiss on the cheek and it led to giggles and laughter all around.

Their Ceremony at Wedgewood Room, Hotel Fairmont Macdonald

The ceremony took place in the Wedgewood room. This room is named after the Wedgewood design of china and is intricately detailed and look absolutely stunning. It has a beautiful chandelier in the middle and large windows letting in natural light all around the room.

The ceremony was commissioned by Julia Thatchk and she did such a splendid job of that! Some of the bride and groom’s friends and family members also said some beautiful words to mark the beginning of their lives together!

The Family Photos at Hotel Fairmont Macdonald

Following the ceremony, we gave the couple some time to mingle with their friends and family while we photographed some candid moments. We photographed the bride and groom with their family members in the hotel’s western hallway.

The Creative Formals in Muttart Conservatory

Once we completed the family photos we went out to the Muttart Conservatory. It is one of our favorite spots to photograph couples at in Edmonton. It is the perfect combination of urban and nature. We went inside the conservatory where we photographed the couple in several of the feature pyramids. Following that, we went outside into the cold and took some photos of the scenic view of downtown and snow near the conservatory.

Zac & Mary’s Reception in the Wedge Wood Room, Hotel Fairmont Macdonald

The Dinner provided by the talented culinary staff of Hotel Fairmont

The reception was held in the Wedgewood room again. The excellent staff at the Fairmont were able to flip the room into a completely different look for the reception. It was decorated with colors of gold and white which looked beautiful. We prepared the reception slideshow for the couple which you can check out here: Zac & Mary’s Reception Slideshow.

The entrance of the bride and groom was surrounded with Eritrean Tradition where the elder men of the family held swords while the elder ladies held flowers as they entered the hall with the bride and groom. It was something very different from what we have photographed so far and we are so honored that we could witness it. Following the entrance, the food was served which was a delicious buffet prepared by the excellent chefs at the Hotel Fairmont.

Everyone Gets a Cake!

Zac and Mary did something a little different for their wedding where instead of having one giant cake, they placed one small cake on each table! The cake itself was a gorgeous combination of white chocolate, cream, and soft mushy core. The bride and groom eventually cut the cake and we photographed it. These photographs will become part of their wedding memories and will remind them of the beautiful day they spent with their family and friends.

Dancing the night away!

Finally, the couple did their first dance together. They looked amazing together and showed some serious dance skills! Following the first dance, everyone joined the couple on the dance floor where they ended up dancing the night away!

Near the end of the reception, Zac and Mary changed into traditional Eritrean clothing and joined the rest of their family on the dance floor.

Online Gallery

An online gallery of all their images is available for the next 30 days. From the online gallery, you are able to favorite images, order prints and share the gallery with your family and friends. The gallery can be accessed via the link below and you can contact Zac & Mary directly for their secure password.

5 Things to Make Your Wedding Even Cooler!

These are some of the photographs from the Balsa's #wedding at the Hastings Lake Gardens Blog Url: boxcubephoto.com/wedding-edmontons-hastings-lake-gardens #weddingphotos by Box Cube Photography #boxcubeweddings #boxcubephotography #Edmontonfamily #edmontowedding #edmontonphotographer

5 Things to Make Your Wedding Cooler // Wedding Tips // Edmonton Wedding Photographer

Weddings are affairs of love; they are affairs of beauty and they are affairs of wonder. As a wedding photographer based in Edmonton, I have had a chance to attend several weddings that had some very neat ideas included as part of the day! These things added a light touch of emotion with beauty to the entire day and I have compiled a list of my top 5 things that you can add to your wedding day to make it even cooler!

  1. Write a Letter!
You are marrying the love of your life and I am sure you will have something to say before the wedding ceremony. Put it down in a hand written letter with a nice envelope and have it delivered to your significant other by the bridesmaids/groomsman. They will appreciate the touch and love you all the more for it! Beware, they may have written a letter to you as well!
  2. Unplugged wedding!
Imagine a world without phones? Ohk, that might be a stretch but you sure can have a wedding without cellphones! An unplugged wedding is one where you ask guests to put away all digital devices for the duration of the ceremony and that way your guests can enjoy the wedding ceremony with you! This also ensures that uncle bob doesn’t block the photographer from getting the right shot!

  3. Wedding Day Survival Kit!
Wedding can be crazy and trust me that is not an understatement! I once photographed a wedding where we had -31 degree weather and we were photographing outdoors on top of a frozen lake! It was cold and that is an understatement. So one of the coolest things you can do for yourself is, making a wedding survival kit! It should include things like breath mints, deodorant, blotting paper, fragrance, and stain remover but honestly it can include anything that you want to include (my personal favorite is a pack of Ferraro rochers!). Another example of a great Wedding Day Emergency Kit can be found by here!

  4. Make Sure you dance!
One of the most fun and interesting parts of the day is the reception open floor. This is when everyone lets their hair down and has a good time. So many times, people will forget that they are supposed to be having fun at their own wedding. Do just that, let the music take control, dance the night away as this will be one of the most memorable days of your life!
edmonton wedding photographers - box cube photography - dance floor - reception- country lodge - polish veterans hall
  5. Have a reception slideshow!
You know those cheesy slideshows with baby pictures? They are sweet but they are outdated. You can instead select the right photographer and get them to prepare a slideshow of the photos from earlier during the day. Box Cube Photography provides exactly a service like that where we prepare a slideshow for you from the photos that we take during the getting ready part of the day, the ceremony and the bridal party photos. This slideshow is then shown during the reception thus giving you a chance to enjoy your wedding photos on the day of your wedding with your guests. Expect water works though!

Edmonton Bridal Stylist / Wedding Day Fashion Stylist – Featured Vendor – Tyrel Abbott Weddings

Edmonton Bridal Stylist – Featured Vendor – Tyrel Abbott Weddings

As part of our commitment to our clients and their wedding day, we often partner with other vendors to see if they would be a good fit for our clients. Those partnerships usually lead to great results and we are then able to refer those vendors to our clients, as we trust them. One such partnership was that with Tyrel Abbott who is a bridal stylist.

What is a bridal stylist or wedding day fashion stylist?

Wedding days are huge moments in the couple’s life and a bridal stylist allows them to plan those moments according to their sense of fashion and style. It includes helping you decide on the dress, jewelry and even the shoes you will wear on the wedding day. A bridal stylist will give you advice on a hairstyle that will work well for your look as well as the kind of makeup that would look amazing.

I had the pleasure of working with Tyrel Abbott who was a current fashion director for “Say Yes to the Dress Canada”. He is a Bridal stylist who has styled many brides head-to- toe for their wedding day.

Edmonton Bridal Stylist Wedding Day Fashion Stylist - Featured Vendor - Tyrel Abott Weddings (13)

Here is the interview with Tyrell Abbott:

How did you get started?

My career as a Bridal Stylist began when I was helping a friend who was shopping for a wedding dress. Unintentionally, I took over her appointment and the owner of the store noticed, she later reached out to me and offered me a job.

Tell me about your favorite wedding last season.

I worked with a bride last year that had overcome some big personal issues. Because of this she was having difficulties envisioning her body in a dress. She had heard about me from a friend of hers who I had dressed for her wedding. I loved that I could help her see that she was beautiful and worthy of having the best day. We shopped at several stores and through a few tears found her perfect dress. I love helping brides find that!

How far out should a bride pay a deposit to secure your services for her wedding day?

Weddings take time to plan. If you are seeking my services as a Bridal Stylist purely for shopping, I’d recommend booking two months ahead of when you plan to order your dress which is typically six to nine months before your wedding date. If you are looking for full-service freelance Wedding Planning, I’d recommend booking shortly after your engagement, when you are ready to start sorting out the specifics. Deposits are made within 2 weeks of booking me and the balance is due 10 days prior to the event or at the completion of finding your dress.

What is included when a couple books your services for their wedding?

It depends on what they need from me. I do everything from planning and coordinating, dressing the couple, finding vendors and hair services if required.

For full-service Wedding Planning, I offer unlimited phone and email consultations and a minimum of 10 hrs in person. If a bride has hired me just to find her a dress, I will do what it takes to find her the dress.

I will always tailor the package to the specific needs of the couple; I want everything about their wedding day to be better than what they imagined.

How do you help couples customize their wedding?

Once I understand their vision, I become the curator of their wedding day. I will take all of the ideas a couple might have and edit them into an event like no other. Most people have never planned a wedding and don’t know where to start, whereas, I have experience planning many, an eye for detail and long list of contacts that specialize in creating anything a bride or groom might wish for.

What is one interesting fact about your services?

One interesting fact about my services is that I styled brides on a national scale. As a Fashion Director on season two of W Network’s Say Yes to the Dress Canada, you can pull up past episodes and see me at work. So I have a great knowledge of trends and have worked with every type of bride.

What do you have planned for the future?

I have many weddings in my future! I would love to style brides internationally but we will have to wait and see.

How many people can you accommodate? (i.e bridal party makeup)

As a hairstylist I can accommodate almost any number. I have a second stylist that works with me and we work very well together.

What makes your services unique?

There are not a lot of people that have the hands-on experience that I do in so many aspects of a wedding. I understand the hairstyles, fashion, design and the logistics that need to all come together for a flawless event.

How long has this business been a part of the community?

I have been in the hair industry for over 15 years and weddings for 4 years.

Who would be the best person to contact if a couple wants to book your services?

Edmonton Videographers – Featured Vendor – YEG Wedding Video

edmonton wedding videographers

We often work with other vendors and we recommend them based on the quality of their services. This help us provide an entire stress-free experience to our clients. This includes recommending vendors that the clients may be in need of. We often do short interviews with those vendors to ensure our clients know who they might be dealing with.

Sam & Justin with YEG Wedding Video are an amazing duo who have the magic of videography down to the last bit. They are edmonton wedding videographers. Here is a sample of some of their work and a short interview of these two awesome dudes.

You can check out the rest of their wedding work out here: http://www.yegweddingvideo.com/#intro

https://vimeo.com/175603697

How did you get started?

We are a team of two videographers. We first shot a wedding video for a friend of ours who asked us to. Once we released the video, people started inquiring and as they say the rest is history.

Tell me about your favorite wedding last season.

Our very first wedding was our favorite of last year – baseball themed wedding, beautiful bride and groom and just a lot of fun. We didn’t know what to expect coming in as it was our first time shooting a wedding but we left and we knew this is what we wanted to do. It was amazing!

How far out should a bride pay a deposit to secure your services for her wedding day?

We are booking a year ahead of time as of right now.

What is included when a couple books your services for their wedding?

We offer two main packages: Package A and Package B. However, we offer the option to customize both our packages.
These packages come with a variety of features including two-cameras, GoPro, Drone aerial shots and lapel microphones.

How do you help couples customize their wedding?

We can offer extra coverage, more videographers, Go Pro footage, extra days and even special aerial drone coverage.

What is one interesting fact about your services?

Besides the fact we are only one of the very few certified companies that offer aerial drone footage for weddings, we love attending rehearsals. We make sure we can attend the rehearsals so that we get the best angles to capture your special day. We like to get to know our clients so that we can make their video personalized to who they are.

What do you have planned for the future?

We want to continue to grow as a business and wedding videographers. We would like to grow our team and offer the best wedding videography service in Alberta.

How many people can you accommodate? (i.e bridal party makeup)

We have captured venues up to 500 people and also weddings of 50-100. We are able to accommodate our services to any size of wedding.

What makes your services unique?

A lot of wedding videos are sappy and sad; not us. We are unique in that we customize our videos based on your personality. It’s your wedding day, it’s fun and exciting and our aim is to capture that in as many ways possible.

How long has this business been a part of the community?

2 years doing weddings, 3 years as a video production company.

Who would be the best person to contact if a couple wants to book your services?

Nicolle & Stephen | Their Story <3

Nicolle & Stephen are cute. No, that is an understatement. They are a very cute couple. They are extremely photogenic and have the best candid expressions even with a huge camera staring at them. I had the privilege of photographing this couple’s engagement session! I will also be photographing their wedding in September and I am so excited about that! Here are some photos from their engagement session in our signature engagement slideshow:

https://vimeo.com/177160904

Location: Victoria Park

Our choice of location was based on the couple’s preference for nature. Summer in Edmonton is an amazing time for photos and almost any location can serve well! Victoria park was a great location for photos due to the green trees, fences and beautiful pathway. All of these elements show up in our photos for the couple below.

It was a very warm and beautiful day. It was sunny with the perfect amount of wind and obscene number of mosquitoes.

Here are some of the photos of the couple during the rest of the engagement session:

Marko & Kimberly | Their Story <3

There was recently a fire in Fort McMurray. A similar fire had happened in Fort McMurray almost five years ago! Kimberly and Marko met during that time. Marko, being a heavy duty mechanic, was off work for the duration of the fire and spent a lot of time in Edmonton. It was during this time that the flame of love got kindled! (Isn’t that kinda poetic?).

Following this, this couple kept their relationship going for a solid five years. During April, 2016 Marko decided it was time Kimberly became his partner in crime for everything. He whipped up an awesome proposal plan that moved as follows:

  1. During the day, Kimberly and Marko were walking when they saw a bench near Concordia University (this will come into play later!).
  2. Marko and Kimberly went out for a date to the Keg. As per the plan, everything was the same as the first date they had ever had. From the parking spot to the booth they sat in. They had both dressed up.
  3. Kimberly had no idea a ring was coming.
  4. Remember the bench from point 1? After dinner they went down there and Marko played a song (from their first week of dating!). They danced together right there near the bench! By this point Kimberly knew the ring was coming!
  5. It had gotten dark by this point. Marko got on his knee and presented a ring in a ring box with a light inside the box (how cool is that!). The light shone on the diamond. Kimberly said yes and they are getting married next month! Here are a couple of shots of the ring:

edmonton-engagement-photographer-box-cube-photography 9

Why Andrew of all places?

During our consultation, I asked Kimberly, where did she want to have her engagement session. She mentioned a family farm near Andrew and I was sold instantly. It was quite a drive through the back roads but it was totally worth it in the end. This location represented sentimental value to Kimberly as she had played on this farm and on the tractors as a child!

As per our commitment to capturing piece of art threaded with our clients’ memories, we ensured that we created some amazing portraits for this couple!

You like flowers? Us too!

Kimberly also happens to be a florist in Edmonton and a vendor we often work with. Her floral knowledge is beyond amazing and her mastery of creating masterful floral pieces is quite cool! We did a feature of her business a while ago that can be found here: Best Buds Flowers.

Given her expertise with flowers, they had to be a part of the engagement session and they will definitely be a large part of the wedding as well!

Here is a small snippet of their engagement session in the form of a slideshow:
To follow along with their story, see the rest of the post as well 🙂

At one point, I had to take a shot where a small tree was blocking my view. As such, Marco being awesome guys that he was, picked up an ax and chopped down the tree… I just stood there stunned having never wielded an ax myself. There were definitely a lot of mosquitoes involved buy beyond that this session was amazing!

This includes recommending vendors that the clients may be in need of. We often do short interviews with those vendors to ensure our clients know who they might be dealing with.

Riti Jain happens to be one of the hair and makeup artist in Edmonton we often work with. She is often a part of our team when we do collaborative shoots as well for engagement hair and makeup. Did we mention those come complimentary with our wedding packages?

Here is a small snippet of the behind the scenes video of a collaboration we recently worked on together (Model: Patricia Stables)! As you can see she is quite the magician with makeup and hair!

How did you get started?

I started when I was going through a phase of life. I wanted to get back to my artistic roots. I started exploring some part-time makeup courses and found one that I really liked. At that time I just wanted to do this as a hobby but one of my classmates offered me to do a collaborative photo shoot with her. I did makeup and hair for a model which led me to realize that I have potential to be a freelance makeup and hair artist.

Tell me about your favorite wedding last season.

I had a chance to do makeup for a South Indian wedding where they had three different ceremonies within a day. In the morning, it was a western church ceremony. The afternoon consisted of a traditional Hindu wedding. The evening consisted of a mix of Indo-western reception. I enjoyed that since the bride was extremely easygoing and we had a friendly dynamic. Spending the entire day with the bride was a new experience. We joked around and the family treated me like I was on of theirs. This was refreshing.

How far out should a bride pay a deposit to secure your services for her wedding day?

The moment a bride books her venue and photographer, she should book the hair and makeup artist around the same time.
This is usually at least 6 months before the wedding date. Although there are opening after those dates as well but doing so this much in advance ensures your date isn’t already booked.

What is included when a couple books your services for their wedding?

I offer separate trial and wedding packages. I offer a free consultation that involves going through the various idea and thoughts that the clients have for hair and makeup. This also involves skin analysis. This consultation also allows me to meet my clients and understand their needs thus ensuring a personalized service.

How do you help couples customize their wedding?

I am very flexible in terms of the look that my clients want to achieve. My clientele is very diverse and includes people from all races and cultural backgrounds. This give me the ability to adapt looks to different clients and ensure that you look your best on the wedding day.

What is one interesting fact about your services?

The diversity in my portfolio and my ability to adapt to various different looks.

What do you have planned for the future?

I plan on opening my own studio and supervise my own team of like-minded makeup and hair artists.

How many people can you accommodate? (i.e bridal party makeup)

Up-to 8 people easily. I often work with another artist who assists me for bigger bridal parties.

What makes your services unique?

I am a very good listener and I strive to provide amazing client service.

How long has this business been a part of the community?

3 years

Who would be the best person to contact if a couple wants to book your services?

Amara & Zubair’s Wedding In Edmonton, AB

Amara & Zubair’s Wedding | Edmonton, AB

Part of being someone’s wedding day is an amazing opportunity and I had the honor of photographing Zubair and Amara’s Pakistani Wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony that was filled with emotions and joy. The wedding took place at the Mirage Banquet Hall on 27th December 2015. It marked the last wedding that I did that year and what a glorious wedding it was.

Check out Zubair & Amara Engagement Session Right here that I photographed earlier in the fall.

Wedding Slideshow

Our weddings are usually completed with a viewing session with the couple where we share the edited photos in the form of a slideshow. This is the slideshow right here!

Here are some other snippets fro the rest of the day:

Bride & Groom Getting Ready

This is where I and my second photographer started working with Zubair and Amara to capture some of the pre-ceremony photos. You can see as Zubair gets ready by ensuring that he looks strong and elegant for his bride while Amara goes through the process of Hair & Makeup to ensure she looks her best (which she absolutely did!). This couple bedazzled the crowd like no other.

You can also see some shenanigans going on with a console as the groomsmen and the groom partake in a “friendly” match. On the other hand, the bride and her sisters share an emotional moment as they put on the bridal “dupatta”. edmonton-wedding-photographer-pakistani-wedding-indian-wedding 3

Formals | Hotel Fairmont McDonal

Following the preparation Zubair and Amara braved the cold and went out for some wintery photos followed by some formal at the Hotel Fairmont McDonal, Edmonton, AB. This gave me the opportunity to photography this extremely photogenic couple in some classic romantic scenarios. You can see in the photo just below to the right that Zubair’s clothing got stuck in Amara’s Dupata and there was this brief shared moment that was timeless. edmonton-wedding-photographer-pakistani-wedding-indian-wedding 5

I love the candid photo right below the single shot of Amara where we can see her smiling through a staircase railing. edmonton-wedding-photographer-pakistani-wedding-indian-wedding 4edmonton-wedding-photographer-pakistani-wedding-indian-wedding 6

Ceremony: Mirage Banquet Hall

This is where we got to the ceremony venue where I got a chance to photograph Zubair as he entered. I love the photograph of him and his mother where they share this beautiful hug.

Cake Cutting | The Leaning Cake

I know this is a gorgeous cake and make it all of you hungry to look at it but this is also a great memory of the wedding! 10 years down the road when Amara & Zubair look at this photo they will remember their cake as the “Leaning Cake Of Pisa”. But regardless it was a beautiful and delicious cake!

Ring Exchange | Snowy Lights!

This is where the bride and groom exchanged their rings and I found this wonderful snowy tree in the venue to photograph the rings against! Woho.. Look at the pretty shiny rings there..

Fun & Games

This was hands down the second best part of the day (first one coming up soon!). This is where Zubair & Amara were quizzed about their favorite actors, sportsman and man did they know each other well. It was hilarious to watch as the crowd cheered each of them on! You can see the genuine laughter on their faces throughout the photos!

Dancing | Bhangra Much?

Now it wouldn’t be your best friend if he didn’t prepare a dance number for your wedding would he? Well this couple got an awesome welcome to their married life by the group of their friends with a wonderful dance performance. edmonton-wedding-photographer-pakistani-wedding-indian-wedding 11Best Part of the Day | Jota Chupai

Remember I told you about the best part of the day? Well, this was it. This is where the bridesmaid (and brides sister) hid the show of the groom and held it hostage for a ransom. There were a lot of negotiations to get the important piece of clothing back but it wasn’t without its casualties (Zubair’s Pocket being one!). You can also see one of the wedding party members hiding a spray of those strings that were then later used to reduce the bid. As you can see the shoe itself did not survive the colorful attack.

This was the end of the beautiful day where Amara left with Zubair for her new home and a new family was born. Hopefully I’ll get to see this couple in the future when they have their first baby 😉edmonton-wedding-photographer-pakistani-wedding-indian-wedding 13

Catherine & Damien’s Engagement Session Edmonton Rundle Park

A cold but sunny day in Edmonton, Alberta

Catherine & Damien’s Engagement Session In Edmonton, Rundle Park and their slideshow!

https://vimeo.com/153739516

I would be lying if I said that it was not cold on the day that I photographed this couple (but it was warm because of their love :P). We met at the Rundle Park in Edmonton, Alberta to take these photos for them. They were accompanied by Catherine’s son who assisted me with some of the shots. Thanks for that!

Catherine and Damien met me after reading my post on Facebook where I was looking for the couple to photograph for their engagement. After they told me their story, I knew I would be able to see a huge amount of love in their photos which I did as evidenced below. I am very excited to share these photos with the couple as they were nothing short of lovely to work with!

Their Story goes something like this:

Both Damien and Catherine like bikes! (Yay! I like bikes too, sadly I have no experience riding one). They met through a mutual friend and instantly hit it off! Damien currently serves with the army and takes pride in his work (and so does Catherine!).
