Cute Couple + Amazing Puppy = Best Engagement Session
The Engagement Ring and How They Met
High school sweethearts would be an accurate yet inaccurate description of this cute couple. Alex & Jessica met in high school almost 10 years ago where Jessica though Alex was a snob #guyfails. FI would like to think fate had to do with what happened 10 years later. They both somehow ended up in the same profession (nursing) AND the same hospital. They also had a mutual friend play the matchmaker.
Their first date was at the Canteen Restaurant. Somehow it was a snowstorm that day and Alex thought Jessica won’t be coming since she was 15 mins late. This is why I shot part of their engagement session at the restaurant. Since then, they keep on going on date and have now become a family of 3 (Jessica, Alex, and Butters, Butters being the cutest of the three). Alex proposed to Jessica on September 12, 2016. They were visiting Disney world. On the very first day of the trip, Alex got on one knee near the scene lake backdrop inside the magical Disney world.
Jessica thought it was a joke and she kept interrupting the proposal. Can this couple be any cuter? Alex had to all kinds of tricks in order to keep the ring hidden from Jessica while packing their luggage!
We started the day off with hair and makeup at Alex & Jessica’s house. Krystle and Victoria did their magic to ensure that Jessica looks absolutely stunning for her engagement session. All of our wedding packages come with a complimentary engagement session and hair and makeup for that session.
The Engagement Session at Guinevere Park & Canteen Restaurant
Following the makeup, we went to the nearby Guinevere park where we photographed Alex & Jessica with Butters. We took some cute portraits of the couple followed with more intimate photos. These two made my job so easy!
We then went to the location of their first date: Canteen Restaurant. This little restaurant in Edmonton serves some of the best chichken waffles in the city while giving off an ultra modern vibe. The staff there was so accomodating and so helpful to us before and during the engagement session. If you are looking for the perfect date night, I would higly suggest you check out this spot!
